Andrew Demko

Andrew Demko is a knife maker and designer that needs little to no introduction. Beginning his career with forging chisels in 1988, when he was in the seventh grade, he instantly realized this was his passion and began forging knives immediately. Like so many bladesmiths, Andrew began his journey from his garage, hammering out blade shapes and sharpening them on a small but manageable grinder. While pursuing his dream, Andrew’s passion for engineering and attention to detail was noticed by Cold Steel. Of the course of his tenure with the Cold Steel, Andrew designed many of the knife models that made the brand famous. In addition, Andrew went on to engineer some of the most innovative, strongest locking mechanisms in the industry like the legendary Tri-Ad Lock, the Scorpion Lock, and most recently, a one-handed operator's dream, The Shark-Lock. 

"I’ve always admired the products that CAS has made over the years,” said Andrew Demko. “Anytime I’ve ever visited their booths at Blade show or wherever, I always liked and enjoyed spending time with the CAS people. I enjoyed the CAS vibe and the products. When opportunity presented itself, I wanted to be a part of it.”
